Chelsea legend Frank Lampard to make Stamford Bridge return?

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has announced on his official Instagram page he is leaving New York City Football Club at the end of his current deal with the club.

The 38-year-old will see out the rest of his contract at the MLS side, but will be looking to enter a new stage of his career at the end of the year, which is still a mystery for the audience.

The former Chelsea and Manchester City player has stated to be announcing his upcoming destination ‘very soon’.

It’s unsure whether Lampard is still going to fight for victories on the pitch, as he’s also been tipped for a role on the sidelines as a manager in the making.

The player himself has told that Chelsea would be the only team which he ever wanted to manage in an interview for Sky Sports last month, but anything could happen.

There was a period earlier in my career where I really fancied it, then I thought I don’t fancy the managerial thing.

Now, I’m back onto it. The problem is I’ve got to get my badges and the hard thing for me is to have time to do it. As soon as I finish playing I’d like to take it up and maybe be a manager.

It’s hard though because I only want the Chelsea job.

At least the fans would love for him to return to Stamford Bridge!
