Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Redknapp has declared that although Radamel Falcao going to Chelsea is a good deal for the club, it does not benefit Falcao to become a bit-part player for the Stamford Bridge outfit
Falcao will most likely end his loan with Chelsea with some form of silverware, but will he play an important part in winning said silver ware? Redknapp claims that Diego Costa will obviously remain Chelsea’s first choice striker, while Loic Remy will either transfer away from Chelsea, which seems unlikely now, or stay and fight to get more playtime in the current Mourinho era.
Redknapp feels that Falcao is “going to find himself on the bench an awful lot next year,” and that it isn’t fair to him because to Redknapp Falcao “was one of the best centre forwards [he’s] ever seen.”
Falcao is also known to be injury prone so keeping Remy as back up for both the Colombian captain and Diego Costa is a brilliant idea by the ‘Special One’.
