Neil Ashton in the Sun is one of the big names in British football journalism.
Big enough that he gets a weekly column on a Monday where he’s allowed to espouse his thoughts about the weekend’s action in the Premier League.
While Chelsea ended up with the result they wanted, the Sun writer took the chance to lay into one of our players, Gonzalo Higuain.

Ashton said the former Juventus striker “offered nothing” up front, which sadly has been the case in too many games since he arrived in January.
Perhaps more damningly, as Ashton also mentions (correctly, in our opinion) the fact that Higuain has failed to build up any connection with Eden Hazard in his time here.
Olivier Giroud sometimes struggles like the Argentine in the final third, but at least he always seems to know where his Belgian teammate is going to be.
Surely we’re about to reach the end of Higuain’s tenure as starting striker? We’ll find out starting with our Europa League semi final on Thursday.
