Chelsea wonderkid will be “very close to Ballon d’Or” according to his agent

Kendry Paez signed for Chelsea last year and has since continued to establish himself as one of the most exciting young players in football.

He’s still just 16 let’s not forget, but he’s already a full fledged Ecuador international and a key player for his club side. His agent Manuel Sierra is not talking down his client’s talents – in fact he’s talking him up to the high heavens:

“I don’t know if we are going to have such a beastly talent in my life again like Kendry Paez,” Sierra said in quotes picked up by Spanish paper AS.

“Today he is still at 50% of his chances, 60% of his chances. He is a boy who, if he learns to be professional, learns to live in professionalism, not professionalism, but in professionalism, he is a guy who can be, for me, if not Ballon d’Or, be very close to being Ballon d’Or in the next, six, seven or eight years.

“I think he can be one of the greats in the world. He has it all. He is a guy who is super prepared for success.”

It’s a really exciting prospect, it’s just so painful to have to wait so long to see him in Blue.

We hope that this summer he at least gets a European loan move so we can start to see him operating at a higher level.

We’re not going to start putting too much pressure on him talking about things like the biggest individual awards in the game – let’s start with getting him in a top 5 European league and go from there…
