£30m Morocco man’s transfer could open the door for a big Chelsea sale

Trevoh Chalobah’s long awaited return to training after injury has come just in time for the January transfer window, and a flurry of new rumours have appeared connecting him with moves away from the club.

Caughtoffside last night reported one of the most convincing – West Ham are apparently keen on a winter bid for the 24 year old, who hasn’t played a minute this season thanks to injury.

The Hammers are considering a hefty £30m bid for Nayef Aguerd, and would look to Chalobah to replace him if he goes.

It would mean first team football for Chalobah, who proved in his many appearances for us that he’s a very competent Premier League defender. We can see him really excelling for David Moyes, who is apparently behind the interest.

Chelsea are happy to let him go to ease their financial restrictions. They may be hoping Aguerd goes so they can take a chunk of that money for themselves.
