Reece James has surgery on hamstring in Finland and lashes out at “hate and negativity”

Poor Reece James picked up another hamstring injury and this time has undergone surgery in a bid to find a more permanent solution to his chronic problems.

The belief (although there’s not that much evidence to back it up) is that James has avoided surgeries so far, hoping that his issues would clear up naturally. But the Daily Telegraph report that he this time went to Finland for a specialist surgery that will rule him out for 3 to 4 months.

It’s a brutal blow for James, who is in the process of having his third consecutive season ruined by medical problems. He feels his career slipping away, and the frustration much be immense.

In a post on his Instagram, James hit out at some of the “hate and negativity” he had observed, presumably online, about his injury issues.

We all want the same thing here – Reece back playing for Chelsea without issues.
