Chelsea prepare to take South American scouting to next level with amazing triple swoop

Chelsea have raided Brazil in each of the last 3 transfer windows.

Some of the South American nation’s best young players, from Andrey Santos to Angelo Gabriel and Deivid Washington have been snapped up by our youth revolution, and then sent out on loans across Europe and the Premier League.

Now it seems that we’re turning our appetite for wonderkids even further south, with Argentina apparently in our sights.

90min reports on our interest in 3 players who all feature for River Plate – Claudio Echeverri, Agustin Ruberto and Ian Subiabre, who have all been played at the recent U17 World Cup.

River Plate is of course one of the world’s top talent factories, and produced stars like Enzo Fernandez.

As they’re under 18, in order to sign any of the trio, we would need to use a buy and loan set up as we have with Ecuador star Kendry Paez. Given how good he looks, we wouldn’t be surprised to see us take a punt on some of these gems.

We’re not sure a wonderkid triple deal has ever been done at this level – trust Chelsea to be the first to try it.
