If you surveyed a hat full of Chelsea fans on their favourite player right now, responses for Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez would be pretty popular, and there is good reason as to why.
Not only are they impressive to the visual eye, the statistical data backs them up too. One example of this is through data website Whoscored, who tweeted that Enzo and Cole both have five accurate through balls this season, that’s only two behind the league leader Lucas Paqueta.
Chelsea have struggled for creativity in recent seasons but Enzo and Cole look like two top additions to the club.
As much as you may question the overall project as a whole, even the harshest doubters will admit that the hierarchy have made some really good, long term signings who are also producing in the short term.
Palmer looks like a bargain at around £42m, and shows no signs of slowing down.
