Chelsea are targeting a move to sign one Bayern Munich defender in the very near future.
That is according to our writer Simon Phillips, posting on his Substack site today.
Phillips reports that Chelsea are sensing an opportunity to potentially move to sign Bayern Munich left back Alphonso Davies in the summer, with his current contract situation up in the air.
Davies’ current deal runs out in 2025 and he has yet to commit to a new deal. Chelsea would have to fight with the likes of Real Madrid, who are considered the favourites to land the player right now, if they are to stand any chance of signing Davies.
But at this stage, the interest is genuine and Chelsea, like other clubs, are keeping a very close eye on the proceedings with his contract.
It seems an unlikely move to happen this one, but we all know you can never say never in transfer business!
