Mauricio Pochettino picks one Chelsea player out for congratulations at training return

We’ve done it – we’ve turned the corner of the final international break of the year, and a long run of club football now stretches out ahead of us.

It’s the most exciting part of the international week – the final games were played on Tuesday night, and some players were back at Cobham already yesterday.

That included England pair Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer, who both got some minutes for the Three Lions without playing an excessive amount. Palmer made his senior international debut, and manager Mauricio Pochettino was pictured on the club website congratulating the attacking midfielder on his achievement.

Our game against Newcastle is only a couple of days away, and with players returning to training, we can finally start looking forward to that and thinking about what team the coach will put out. His press conference comes tomorrow, and we will get a wealth of new information then.
