Chelsea’s important player returns to first team training, could return for Monday night game

Chelsea have released their injury update ahead of Mauricio Pochettino’s press conference this afternoon, and the important feature was the confirmation that Mykhailo Mudryk had returned to training.

The Ukraine winger missed our game against Arsenal last weekend and then sat out against Blackburn on Wednesday night too. Without his speed and direct running the team looked significantly less dangerous.

Against Tottenham we will have plenty of chances on the counter, and we’re sure Pochettino will be itching to use Mudryk if he can. So far this season we’ve looked far better against big teams because they leave space in behind rather than sitting deep and forcing us to break them down.

We will likely more find out more from the Chelsea coach in his press conference coming up any minute now. Let’s hope the week off has done him good, and that he can prepare normally for Monday night’s massive game.
