Chelsea may have to sell last summer’s signing to afford AC Milan star – Opinion

Chelsea are being linked with AC Milan left back Theo Hernandez in a report from Todo Fichajes released today.

They say that the Blues have been “impressed” by the left back, and even suggest that some approaches have been made. They say that he’s keen on playing in the Premier League, but that seems more like a reasonable assumption than inside information.

Things change rapidly in football, and we wouldn’t rule anything out, but this would be a very surprising move.

First he would cost a lot, secondly he would demand big wages. Thirdly we’ve got Ben Chilwell in place as number one (even if he is injured) and fourthly Marc Cucurella now seems a lot less likely to leave than he did not long ago – Mauricio Pochettino seems to be getting to grips with him now. Even with Lewis Hall gone and Ian Maatsen probably going, it’s hard to see Hernandez coming in without Cucurella going out.
