Chelsea’s loans are not going too well this season, with some of our most highly prized assets spending most of the campaign so far rotting on the bench.
But one player is thriving – Angelo Gabriel was the man who got the chance to go to our sister club Strasbourg, and they’re clearly loving having him there.
After spending the first couple of games of the season on the bench he got his chance in the starting XI – and he’s never looked back. Game after game he impresses more and more, and we’re really excited to see what he produces through the rest of the campaign.
He’s just won the player of the month award for September, in an award voted for by fans of the club.
That’s an amazing achievement for a teenager just taking his first steps in European football, freshly arrived on a new continent. The future is very bright for Angelo.
