We reported earlier this week that Angelo Gabriel had won the Strasbourg Player of the Month award, and he’s now gone one further by winning the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month.
The on loan Chelsea winger has ended up being the only Blue sent to our sister club in Alsace, but he’s made an instant impact for Patrick Vieira’s team. Some of the loans we’ve sent players on this season are already starting to look like poor choices, but this one looks a smash hit already. He’s earned his place in the first team and is shining even just a month into his time in Europe.

The winger made three starts and one sub appearance in September, picking up an assist and a man of the match award.
Strasbourg play tonight in the Ligue 1 Friday night special, so there will be plenty of eyes on the 18 year old as he looks to start his campaign to win the same award for October.
