Chelsea lose injury prone star for two months with latest injury

Chelsea are set to be without Ben Chilwell for two months after he picked up a hamstring injury against Brighton last week, various sources are reporting.

The former Leicester man will miss Chelsea’s incredibly difficult run of games, featuring matches against Arsenal, Tottenham Man City, Man United, Newcastle and Brighton. It’s a blow for Chilwell, and a blow for Chelsea’s attempts to turn their rocky start to the season around.

It’s all rather unfortunate as the left back has been benched for a long time. After starting the season as a left winger, Mykhailo Mudryk’s emergence and Mauricio Pochettino’s favour for Levi Colwill on the left side of defence meant no place for Chilwell.

He finally got a start in that Brighton game, and made it all the way to extra time before the injury.

Now he’s set to miss two months, and it seems that like his partner on the other side of defence Reece James, his injury issues are going to prevent him ever from being able to achieve what he otherwise could.

  1. Lastimosamente Chilwell se volvió un cristal será mejor buscarle reemplazo, quizás hubiese sido mejor su ida al City
