English football has a real aversion to the owners of clubs coming into the dressing room. It’s seen as a sacred space where the players should feel safe and at one with the manager.
Well, nobody told the Chelsea ownership that. They like to go in there after almost every game. Questions about whether they’re happy about that have been put to Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Frank Lampard – and now Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino was his usual cheery self, claiming he “liked” when owners come to the dressing room – as long as they approach players in the correct way.
