“Nobody is overlapping him” – Former Blue hits nail on the head in Bournemouth analysis

We’ve all been having our say on Chelsea’s recent performances in the league this season.

The stalemate against Bournemouth on Sunday drew even more opinions and analysis from former players, pundits, managers, fans, and everyone else.

EXCLUSIVE! Reece James untouchable and committed, Ivan Toney one to watch with traditional 9 pursuit possible, Ridiculous calls to sack Poch, Jackson gone into shell, Colwill must play CB, and more….

Chelsea played well but once again they could not get the ball in the back of the net despite coming close on a few occasions.

One of the issues that I noticed was the left hand side, and I wasn’t the only person who noticed that.

Mykhailo Mudryk was lively, but he lacked the same support as Raheem Sterling had down the right, with Malo Gusto overlapping him and opening up more spaces for him to work in.

Mudyk had Levi Colwill behind him but Colwill is a natural centre back and not a full back, and he wasn’t operating like a full back would normally operate.

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy also picked up on this, and he is spot on.

“There’s a couple of strange things that are going on. He’s playing Levi Colwill left-back and he had [Ben] Chilwell on the bench. I don’t know whether Chilwell had a knock,” Cundy told talkSPORT.

“Chilwell naturally gives you that balance, he’s an attacking full-back. I felt we were lopsided at the weekend [against Bournemouth].

“Down our left, there was just nothing. I felt a bit for [Mykhailo] Mudryk because there’s no back-up, nobody is overlapping him.”

  1. Boehly has not got a clue, 2 seasons no striker, no leaders just a bunch of sunday school kids running around like headless chickens ans 2 over priced very average midfielders that just pass 5yds sideways and a very hit and miss goalie and an old man with a zimmerframe at center back. 1 billion waste of money. CHELSEA have given up there crown so easily even spuds look way above us and Brighton are a super team, well done boehly just fuckoff back to the states.

    1. Put all your pathetic blame on Boehly, what he has done is the envy of every other team out there. Most chelsea fans are just a bunch of over pampered spoilt little kids, if Poch is sensible enough we will be winning games, instead the senseless coach is playing our best players out of position and benching players who will definitely improve the team. I’m beginning to feel the clueless coach is just in Chelsea to send us down to relegation at the request of his former employers. No wonder he was third/fourth choice while we were hunting for a suitable coach. This dude has no fcking clue how to train these bunch of Chelsea talents.

  2. I think poch should change the formation he is using now, it is not suitable for the team at all. The 3-4-2-1 is not good enough let’s switch to another one n see, I am sure the team will be at its best when he use either of 5-3-2, 4-4-2 or even 4-3-2-1 etc since the latter is difficult for the players to adopt quickly
