Forest’s €30m bombshell risks ruining Chelsea’s delicate plans for young talent

Ibrahim Sangaré has become the latest big Nottingham Forest signing, with the much in demand PSV central midfielder making the switch to the City ground for a fee reported to be over €30m.

Many teams kicked the tyres on him this summer, including Champions League teams, and it’s a huge coup for Forest to get him. He’s going to be a star player for them, and represents their best chance of staying up once again.

What’s this got to do with Chelsea? Well, just a week ago we loaned them Andrey Santos, one of the South American talents signed under this ownership. He played in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but his chances of Premier League minutes (the entire reason we’re loaning him out, of course) have just taken a huge blow with this signing.

Why would Forest play Santos (who is on loan) if they can play the player who is older, more experienced, and owned by them? We’re very worried this already looks to be going wrong for the Brazil international.
