Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg had an enjoyable game at the weekend, coming back from 2-0 down at home to salvage a draw against Montpellier.
That game marked a first start for Chelsea loanee Angelo Gabriel, and by the looks of things he will be in line for more chances after impressing boss Patrick Viera.
The winger’s performance was enough to get him in the Ligue 1 team of the week, playing on the other flank to a certain Kylian Mbappe.
It’s not been a great start to the season for a lot of our loanees, many of whom are going to have to earn the trust of their new managers, but it’s great to see Angelo making the most of his debut, and we’re sure others will follow in his footsteps.
