Now that Moises Caicedo is a Chelsea player, the club’s attentions have turned to the man who at one point seemed to be an alternative to the Ecuadorian.
Romeo Lavia was certainly a lower priority than Caicedo, but it seems we want them both – at Liverpool’s expense in both cases. With Caicedo already showing off his new Blue shirt and likely joining training today in preparation for a debut at the weekend, Lavia won’t be far behind.
In the video you can see from Sky Sports embedded here, they claim that Chelsea are looking to wrap up a Lavia deal “within 24 hours” to get their midfield totally sorted for this year (and hopefully many more to come:

That won’t conclude their transfer business entirely – there’s still a deal for Michael Olise in the offing – but it puts them almost at the finish line with a good two weeks of August left to sell off our final unwanted assets.
