Fulham back in the chase for £8m winger who just can’t manage to complete a transfer

At the start of the summer, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future looked pretty simple to sort out. He was happy to leave, the club wanted to sell, and with just one year left on his deal, the transfer fee was going to be pretty small.

But in the end, there have been a few twists and turns along the way.

Fulham were in for him strongly, and we basically considered the whole thing wrapped up. But after long talks, the Whites couldn’t agree a fee, and the deal fell apart.

Next came Nottingham Forest. The last week has seem them inching closer to buying the winger, but they haven’t managed to get it over the line.

Now Nizaar Kinsella is reporting that Fulham have decided to re-enter the fray. Chelsea have been holding out for £8m – not a lot for a player of CHO’s quality, no matter his contract situation, and this perhaps indicates that they’ve decided to just pay up and let the player decide.
