Chelsea’s move to buy Dusan Vlahovic – with Romelu Lukaku moving the other way – seems to be progressing suddenly.
Fabrizio Romano reported last night that the Blues are “back in talks” with Juventus over a move for the 23 year old, who has had a poor 18 months in Turin after shining for Fiorentina during his breakout in Serie A.
There is a big debate online about whether he has suffered from playing for a dysfunctional Juventus, or whether his sparking form in Florence was just a hot streak. Either way, he can’t be less prolific than Kai Havertz, and he can’t have a worse attitude than Romelu Lukaku, so we should get slightly better even if Vlahovic doesn’t live up to his past glories.
Chelsea are now back in talks again with Juventus through intermediaries — swap deal between Romelu Lukaku & Dušan Vlahović has been discussed again 🔵

If Nicolas Jackson plays as well in the league as he has in preseason, Vlahovic’s minutes may end up being quite limited anyway. It’s not the superstar the fans want – but there really aren’t any top tier striker out there on the market right now at a price point we can afford.
Is a good player we need him
