Chelsea midfield situation remains very unclear, with new signings desperately needed and a host of younger talents needing their future sorted.
One player who falls into that latter category is Cesare Casadei, who looks increasingly like he will be leaving on loan. A Premier League would certainly be possible, but he wouldn’t be guaranteed as many minutes, so another option has become favourite.
Leicester City are desperate to regain their Premier League status with an instant promotion back from the Championship, and they see Casadei as part of that effort. They – with their new Italian manager Enzo Maresca in place – are “advancing in talks” to sign the youngster according to Fabrizio Romano.

Maresca’s presence is apparently an important factor here, with the former Pep Guardiola disciple offering a great opportunity for Casadei to get some top tier coaching. Of course we’d love to see him in the Premier League, but the guaranteed minutes of dropping to a lower level could be invaluable too.
