Fulham deal for Willian has not killed Hudson-Odoi transfer which could make big progress this week

Fulham are set to re sign former Chelsea winger Willian for this season, according to a story from Nizaar Kinsella today in the Evening Standard. The 34 year old will stay in London despite serious interest from other Premier League teams.

It seems like this might shut down the rumours of a potential Callum Hudson-Odoi move across West London, but Kinsella’s piece make it clear that this is still very much on the cards. Their first offer was rejected, but it doesn’t sound like valuations are too far apart.

Fulham are really short on wingers now – Manor Solomon has gone to Spurs instead of making his move to Craven Cottage permanent, while Dan James is not sticking around after his loan. That should create more than enough room for the arrival of Hudson-Odoi, even with Willian staying put.

We expect a second offer this week, and things could be wrapped up quite efficiently.
