“Extremely disappointed” midfielder pushing harder than ever for Chelsea move after latest leaks

Caughtoffside have a really interesting exclusive from Ben Jacobs this afternoon which claims that Moises Caicedo is “extremely disappointed” to still be a Brighton player after solid bids from Arsenal in January and from Chelsea now.

It continues a trend which we first got whispers of when the midfielder gave an interview earlier this month where he began to open the door to a transfer.

The £100m asking price which the Seagulls have given him is considered “ridiculous” by people in his camp, who point out that Aurelien Tchouameni moved from Monaco to Real Madrid for less than £70m not long ago. Brighton’s claim that they want the £100m that West Ham got for Declan Rice can be passed off as an example of just the “English tax” we see mentioned everywhere.

The slow progress is now frustrating Chelsea fans and the player’s camp in equal measures. Brighton are well within their rights to play hard ball, but they know they will have to deal with this issue in every window until Caicedo is sold – and it seems like he’s going to start making more of a fuss each time it happens.

  1. Forget caicedo and find an alternative . What Brighton need to understand is Rice has been a top player for a few years , Caicedo has done it for a year
