Kepa Arrizabalaga has been awarded the Premier League’s save of the season award for his triple stop against Aston Villa back in October.
Chelsea won the game 2-0 despite not playing well, and that was largely down to Kepa’s impressive performance.
While the first save actually spilled the ball back into the danger zone, the Spaniard made up for it with the two following reaction saves. Any keeper would be proud of that.
This was the point at which Kepa and Chelsea’s season was going pretty well. Sadly, it didn’t last.
