The subject of Romelu Lukaku is going to come up again and again until his future is sorted, and today on ESPN he was part of a discussion about what Chelsea are going to do up front next season.
Gab Marcotti threw a curve ball into the mix, claiming that if the plan was to have the striker mainly coming off the bench, the Blues may already have an option:
“[Armando] Broja can do a lot of the things Lukaku can do,” he pointed out.
We would all love Broja to come good, but we’re certainly not getting as excited as Marcotti is here. Firstly, as the pundit says, we’ve got to see how he recovers from an injury which could affect his body permanently.
Secondly we’ve got to find out how good he actually is, something we haven’t had much of a chance to do at the very top level yet.
