Former Blue names Premier League midfielder as ‘the right target’ for Chelsea

Chelsea are looking to rebuild their midfield this summer around January signing Enzo Fernandez.

Enzo arrived as a club record signing and he has carried the weight on his shoulders already and has not missed a game all season. He can finally relax now the season has ended, but next season he needs help, he needs to be free’d up some more, and he needs more quality alongside him.

Sources: Chelsea’s fire sale – a look at the outgoing developments!

Chelsea could end up selling quite a few of their current midfielders this summer and that will mean that they will have room for one of two more, with plenty of names being linked.

One of which is Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, who looks dead cert to be off this summer. And former Chelsea captain Frank Leboeuf believes that Caicedo would be the right fit for Chelsea’s midfield and be what they need in there.

Writing in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today, Leboeuf said: “Moises Caicedo from Brighton at least knows the Premier League, but he will maybe cost more. He has already showed at Brighton that he has real talent and has something about him. It would be nice to see him at Chelsea – he seems to be the right target and the right person for what we need. We have to be careful of the price tag though.”
