Players are off with their national teams for their final action of the season, and Christian Pulisic is just happy to have some time on the field.
His comments upon joining up with the USA squad reveal a player who is not happy – and not hiding it:
“So I’m really excited to be here and just to get some minutes on the field and just get back to being that confident player that I know I can be in and just find my footing again and just enjoying the game because it feels like it’s been tough to do that lately,” the winger said in quotes picked up by the Daily Mirror.
If he’s been struggling to enjoy his football recently he will be relieved to hear that he’s not got to suffer much longer. There are teams queueing up to register their interest in him, with sides from the Premier League, Serie A and even Galatasaray from Turkey linked at one point.
We will need one of these teams to put their money where their mouth is and actually stump up, but there’s no way we will stand in his way once one does.
There is nobody left at Chelsea thinking he’s going to be a hit now, and any future success he has is not going to be at Stamford Bridge.
