Agents describe Chelsea’s prices as ‘sky high’ with them determined not to sell on the cheap

Chelsea have very much opened the door for their garage sale of players this month as they fight a race against time to sell players.

With such a large squad and FFP balancing needs in terms of profits, Chelsea are looking to sell a vast number of players this month and they must do it before the end of June if they want to keep it in the same financial year and balance the books.

However, it looks like the club are not going to be letting any players go on the cheap this summer, with agents describing their asking prices for players they are selling as ‘sky high’.

This is according to a report from The Daily Mirror yesterday, who say that Chelsea are determined not to let players go on the cheap despite facing a race against time to balance the books.

‌Agents have described Chelsea ’s asking prices as “sky high” even though there is a pressing need to offload players. UEFA have a deadline of June 30 for player sales to be included in the 2022/23 accounts to fall in line with Financial Fair Play rules, although clubs may have different year-in deadlines.
