World’s most talented squad adds one current and one future Chelsea player

We’ve reached the end of the club season, but football isn’t over just yet. There’s still the UEFA finals, plus the end of season international break.

France have just revealed their squad for the games against Gibraltar and Greece, and there is one current Chelsea player and one soon to be Chelsea player in the 23.

Wesley Fofana had his progress to the senior France side stopped by his bad injury at the start of last season, but fortunately is now looking like he’s ready to be making his way back. He faces tough competition for minutes, but he’s certainly now in Didier Deschamps thoughts again.

Meanwhile Christopher Nkunku is a Chelsea player in every way except officially, and he will hope to back up his great season with RB Leipzig by establishing himself with France once again having missed the World Cup through injury.

Looking at the incredible players in every part of the pitch, it’s hard to argue with the prevailing view that the France squad is close to the most talented group of players around.

Having one player in there is a good sign for any club. Having two is very good going.
