(Video): Joao Felix slots goal after lovely Chelsea counter attack

Chelsea have a consolation goal at Old Trafford.

They caught Man U high up the pitch and Joao Felix swept through with the ball at his feet.

There were options either side but he went alone and slotted home.

He still should have passed it – but if you’re not going to pass, a finish like that is what you need.

It’s one goal from about 5 great chances we created in the game – and bizarrely it was the hardest to score of all of them.

You can see the goal in the clips embedded here:

  1. Nice to see Felix demonstrate some finishing ability. Unfortunately…

BOTH sides could easily have scored more goals. Obviously, Fofana had a nightmare game personally, and Gallagher made some bad mistakes too—his poor positional discipline led directly to the second goal and getting caught in possession deep in his own half almost resulted in another. But the overall trend under Lampard is the same as his first stint with the club—we create many chances, but we give up at least as many to the opponent. You can slap lipstick on a 4-1 “pig,” but it’s still a pig!
