Frank Lampard’s press conference yesterday saw him asked about his interactions with Paul Winstanley and Christopher Vivell, two of the sporting directors in place above Lampard at the club.
He was very positive about them and his “interactions” with them, as you’d expect. It seems it was their idea to bring Lampard in as a caretaker. “I’ve been impressed, he noted.”
Given Frank knows the game and what can succeed at Chelsea better than most, it’s good to see him look relatively convincing when he says he thinks they’ll bring success back to Chelsea. Some of the deflected flak from this season’s wreckage has hit the pair already after Graham Potter and Todd Boehly took most of the damage.
They’ve barely been in place 6 months – let’s give them a little longer before writing them off.
