(Video): Chelsea’s 4 second half chances all came from subs

Chelsea’s second half performance yesterday was much improved on recent games, and it seemed to come once Frank Lampard started making subs.

There were 4 really strong chances for Chelsea in that period once subs started arriving. Carney Chukwuemeka was involved in the first right after he came on, driving the ball to the Newcastle box to set u pa Lewis Hall cross and Raheem Sterling shot.

Then Joao Felix, another sub, had a snap shot.

Finally Christian Pulisic was played in by Sterling on two occasions, one of which led to another chance for Felix to win it, the other to a tame shot.

They didn’t quite get it over the line, but all the subs got involved and changed the tempo of the game quite dramatically. If only we had seen that from the very beginning.
