Todd Boehly wants attacker with 35 goal contributions to bolster Chelsea attack

Brazilian forward Neymar has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

According to a report from Fichajes, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is reportedly obsessed with the idea of signing the 31-year-old this summer.

Neymar is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and he has been in fine form for the French outfit this year. The Brazilian has 18 goals and 17 assists to his name across all competitions and he could transform Chelsea in the final third.

The Blues have improved their squad significantly over the last couple of transfer windows, but they still missing a reliable goalscorer. Although Neymar is more than just a striker, he could prove to be a quality option for Chelsea in the attack next season.

PSG are ready to part ways with the 31-year-old and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea can agree on a deal with them.

The Blues have had a dismal campaign this season and they have missed out on European qualification. They will be hoping to bounce back strongly next year and the new manager must look to address the lack of goals on the side.

Neymar will not only score goals consistently, but he would also help create numerous opportunities for his teammates.

The 31-year-old is a proven match-winner at the highest level and he could transform Chelsea into genuine contenders next year.

However, the South American forward is in his 30s now and he is unlikely to get better with time. It would be a short-term addition for the Blues and the transfer is likely to be an expensive one as well.
