“There are 12 players up for sale” at Chelsea this summer with clear-out pending

Chelsea’s squad clear-out this summer is pending, and it has often been referred to as a ‘fire-sale’ by many in the media.

This points towards the mammoth task ahead for the owners as they look to deal with many clubs attempting to move some players on and make some money back in order to balance the books for FFP purposes as well as trim down a very bloated squad.

Chelsea’s large squad size has caused many issues this season and has certainly not helped their plight towards the bottom of the Premier League. They have a long way to go to get back on track, but selling players this summer will be a very good start.

Journalist Dean Jones has been told that there are 12 players up for sale at Chelsea this summer, which could be a huge clear-out if all of them get sold. However, it won’t quite be as easy as that.

When asked who could be next to leave if AC Milan complete a deal for Loftus-Cheek, Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “It’s tricky to pinpoint it. From what I’m told, there are 12 players up for sale in the summer.

“To be honest, it’s not easy to predict what order they’re going to leave in. Even with Loftus-Cheek, you don’t know how long that deal is going to take to be wrapped up.”
