Report suggests Chelsea might not announce new manager until end of season

Chelsea fans have been waiting impatiently for the new manager to be confirmed and announced, but they might even have to wait until the end of the season according to a report today.

Mauricio Pochettino is the guy expected to take the reigns, with every outlet agreeing that it is a done deal now and only needs the official announcement. And according to Football London today, that announcement might not even come until the end of the season.

Sources: Mauricio Pochettino asks some of Frank Lampard’s current staff to stay on at the club!

Although the report also reiterates that there is nothing to be concerned about for Chelsea supporters with the imminent appointment of Pochettino as the club’s new first-team head coach.

While the reason for the slight hold-up and the fact there hasn’t been any proper updates since the weekend is unknown, a source told Football London that this was always expected and there is nothing to be concerned about in that regard. They say that it’s ultimately up to Chelsea as a club when they announce the deal. The Blues could even wait until the end of the season until it’s made official to the public is the claim, but that remains to be seen.
