Manchester City vs Chelsea – Team News

Chelsea face Manchester City at the Etihad in just under an hour, and the teams are in!

The Blues are in their weird end of season mode, with a host of players who may leave this summer mixed with uncomfortable new signings and young players called up to join the injured.

They face a rampant Manchester City team who have just won the league – but won’t be holding back.

Frank Lampard has opted for 5 changes today to the team that drew with Nottingham Forest a week ago. Kepa Arrizabalaga is back in goal, and Wesley Fofana returns to defence to replace the injured Benoit Badiashile.

As we predicted, it looks like a 352. Fofana, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah as a 3, Lewis Hall and Trevoh Chalobah out wide as wing backs, Enzo Fernandez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Conor Gallagher as a midfield 3, then Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz leading the line.

It means the in form Noni Madueke is benched to fit the formation, but we’re sure we will see him later. There will be a lot of complaints about this lineup because of the way that players like Carney Chukwuemeka are still on the bench, but Lampard just wants to win this one, and you have to respect that.

Here are the full team line-ups for Manchester City vs Chelsea (kick off at 16:00 pm GMT)
