Amazing Lewis Hall shines once again with brilliant stats in another defeat

This has been a season of negativity all round, so we try to find positives wherever we can, especially after a painful defeat.

There wasn’t much to choose from today, but Lewis Hall was a shining light.

Making his third consecutive start, he was brilliant down the left hand side and created a ton of chances that his teammates couldn’t do anything with.

In the first half alone he completed 4 of 5 long balls, made 4 ball recoveries, won all 3 of his ground duels, completed both of his crosses and both of his dribbles, made 2 key passes and created 2 big chances.

In 45 minutes! You can’t ask for more than that.

The second half saw Man U come back into it strongly so Hall wasn’t on the ball as much, but we’ve now all seen time after time what he can do in the team. The money wasted on Marc Cucurella now looks even more mad. This isn’t a new development, Hall had chances last season and looked great.

The lack of trust in players produced by the youth academy is crazy given how consistently they produce. Let’s hope the sporting directors are learning these lessons quickly.
