“We are responsible” – Bruno says the players and the staff share blame for Potter’s dismissal

Bruno Saltor did a good job in his first press conference as Chelsea’s interim boss in an emotionally charged moment as he took over from Graham Potter, the man who brought him to the club.

The stand-in was asked about how he and his fellow coaches and the squad they look after were feeling after Potter’s sacking, and he responded that they all felt part of it.

“We are all responsible” he added, making it clear that everyone felt they could have done better to help the well liked Potter in a job, but also that all he and his players could do now is move on and try to pick up the results they desperately need.

Some will certainly question some of these players and whether they were responsible enough when Potter was in charge. They now have a new chance to show what they can do, with big games coming thick and fast this month.
