Chelsea target 18 year old Gambian talent

Chelsea are being linked to another top teenage talent as the Blues look to continue to build their wonderkid academy.

18 year old Adama Bojan rocketed to public attention last month playing for the Gambia in the AFCON U20 tournament. He scored four times for the unfancied West Africans, and there were plenty of scouts there to take notice.

Chelsea aren’t the only side being linked – Tottenham are mentioned in the article by the Sun listing his suitors, as are Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, as well as a host of continental European teams.

That same piece says he could be available for £650,000, making him a no-brainer gamble for most top teams if he continues to play well.

Work permit rules would mean the striker has to go on loan for some time before earning the necessary points, but it won’t be long before he starts playing for the Gambia’s senior side, which will help with that process.
