Wonderkid striker doesn’t need to worry about playing time at goal-shy Chelsea

Rather inevitably, we’re now starting to see the first links of breakout star Evan Ferguson to Chelsea.

He’s a brilliant young striker tearing up the Premier League, while Chelsea are both trying to sign the best young talents in the world and find a top goalscorer. It makes complete sense that we’re interested in the Brighton star.

The Sun today report that he could turn down a move to Stamford Bridge however, because he’s concerned about a lack of playing time and breaking into a competitive squad currently being pumped full of money and talent.

It’s understandable that his priority is to play every week, that’s clear.

We’re not sure he would have to worry too much about first team football though. He may be a teenager, but we’d be signing him because we desperately need a striker, not just to develop him. He’s already a physical specimen and is picking up Premier League appearances and goals regularly now, so there wouldn’t be any need for an adaptation period either.
