Rob Dawson of ESPN has been covering the potential move of Andreas Pereira from Fulham to Chelsea, and he today made an interesting point about why the midfielder would give up a great situation at Fulham to risk it all (again) at a top side where he might not play.
As Dawson points out, a move to a bigger team could also help with Pereira’s dream – getting back into the Brazil squad.
He picked up one cap way back in 2018, but until he’s playing at Champions League level, it’s hard to see him getting more. That might be the crucial factor that persuades the midfielder that it would be worth leaving an ideal situation at Fulham to try his luck at a top team once again.
