“There are no roads back” for Chelsea player with club asking ‘£49m’ for him

Chelsea will be making some big decisions on many players this summer with a bit of a squad clear-out expected at Stamford Bridge.

The new owners are fully aware that they need to do some balancing out at the end of the season the keep FFP happy, at at least try their very best to do so. The club have spent a lot of money signing new players in the last two windows, so not only do they need to balance things out financially now, they also need to reduce a hugely bloated squad.

Exclusive: Mason Mount’s Leicester squad omission, Ben Chilwell’s future, Midfield pursuits (One about to sign), Lavia, Osimhen, Rice, Abraham, De Jong, Neymar, and much more!

Christian Pulisic is a player who is certainly on the list of those who could leave the club at the end of the season, and I have no idea how much an ex-USA international turned coach/pundit knows, but Eric Wynalda seems to have some info on Pulisic’s situation, in quotes picked up by ChelsTransfer below.

Wynalda: “One thing we do know, Chelsea has muddied the waters so severely that there are no roads back to London for Christian Pulisic. The number is rumoured to get as high as £49m. The other teams which could be his next home are all fighting for a Champions League spot which will be the determining factor”
