Pulisic in Graham Potter’s team as coach looks to earn three points at all costs

Christian Pulisic starts today, and when asked about that decision, Graham Potter didn’t give the club’s in house media channels much – just basically just said that he was picking Pulisic because he had come on as a sub for a few games and was now fit.

“It’s great to have Christian and N’Golo back. Christian starts the game having come on in recent weeks and NG is back among the substitutes,” Potter said.

“It’s great to have them both involved with the squad.”

Fans on social media don’t seem too happy. They want to see their shiny new toy in action, and you can understand why. Potter has already puzzled people by using Hakim Ziyech so much since January when he’s clearly going to leave this summer, and now he’s doing a similar thing with Pulisic.

The Chelsea manager is more concerned with results than developing players for the future however, and as is always the case, that becomes evident in their team selections. He thinks Pulisic is the best option to replace Raheem Sterling up top – if we get three points, there will be no complaints.
