Mykhailo Mudryk on friendly rivalry with Arsenal star

Chelsea made a big splash in January when they signed Mykhailo Mudryk from  under Arsenal’s noses.

The Gunners had chased the winger for some time, and thought they had a deal sewn up. They even had Mudryk’s fellow Ukraine star Oleksandr Zinchenko on their books to help grease the wheels.

But in the end Chelsea made the decisive move and brought Mudryk to west London.

The winger is now on international duty, where he and Zinchenko have invented a playful rivalry because of the saga:

“He helped me a lot. I like him so much. We often joke about Arsenal, Chelsea and what colour is London,” he said in quotes picked up by Football London.

“But I like this guy, he’s very funny, very kind guy. We spend some time with him and always in positive vibes,” the £62m man continued.

Asked the journalist what colour London is, Mudryk replied with the correct answer: “Blue.”

We haven’t seen much of him since an early run in the team as he looks to settle in to his new life, but it won’t be long before we see him and Zinchenko facing off on the pitch.
