We couldn’t believe it 6 months ago, but with each passing week the prospect of Mason Mount being sold by Chelsea this summer grows more realistic, and today’s development is another significant milestone.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the Chelsea academy product has appointed Neil Fewings as his new agent, on the back of an agreement that was made “weeks ago.”
Romano adds it’s “very likely” he leaves Chelsea this summer.
The idea is that Mount would only appoint a new agent if he’s deciding to leave, and the timing does make sense if talks with Chelsea have reached an impasse, and he’s now looking outwards.

Chelsea will get a decent fee for him, but it will be an incredible unpopular move with most fans, as a beloved academy kid is sold to fund more big money mercenary imports.
Forget the football for a second, on an emotional level this is a very dangerous moment.
