Loanee wins player of the month after crucial saves

Top tier football is suspended because of the international break, but lower leagues across Europe are ploughing on, and the loanees we’ve got playing there are worth mentioning.

Jamie Cumming is continuing his steady rise through the divisions, and his move to Milton Keynes Dons is going from strength to strength. He’s just been given their player of the month award for last month as he helped the Dons to some important results as they looked to stave off relegation.

The 23 year old goalkeeper has 134 senior appearances to his name now, and whether or not MK Dons manage to stay up this season, we would expect him to be playing in the Championship next season – he’s proved he’s more than good enough for League One, and awards like this prove it.

Whether he’s good enough to ever be our number one is another question – although he will get a first chance to impress Graham Potter in preseason this year.
