Joao Felix is keen to stay at Chelsea beyond his loan, which runs until the end of the season.
That’s what we’re hearing from sources behind the scenes, and while Felix won’t quite come out and say it, all his hints are that he’s in a positive place and would like to stick around.
“I’m enjoying my new life at Chelsea and I’m adapting well to this new chapter,” the attacking midfielder said while on international duty with Portugal, in quotes picked up by Fabrizio Romano.

We’re hearing this from all sides now, and it’s just a matter of whether the club can make the finances work. We’ve spent so much in the last 12 months that the €100m it would likely cost to sign Felix is probably too much, given we also want to sign a central midfielder and a striker this summer.
However Atletico Madrid are happy to sell, and given he’s on a long contract, we can well imagine a loan with obligation to buy which at least pushes the purchase another year down the line.
