“He looked at me” – Kai Havertz on ‘good goal’ created by his team mate

Chelsea will now be fully focused on the weekend’s game against Everton now without a doubt, but it’s still nice to look back on a great three points at Leicester last weekend.

There was one goal in particular that stood out, and it came at the perfect time.

Exclusive: Mason Mount’s Leicester squad omission, Ben Chilwell’s future, Midfield pursuits (One about to sign), Lavia, Osimhen, Rice, Abraham, De Jong, Neymar, and much more!

Chelsea had squandered an early lead at Leicester and it looked like the game was going to be 1-1 at half time, meaning it would have been totally open and there for anyone to take. But Chelsea scored with the last kick of the half and firmly put the ball in their court to go on and take a vital three points.

Kai Havertz got the important goal, and it was a lovely delicate finish from him. But it was created by the genius and technical quality of Enzo Fernandez, who scooped a perfect ball in over the top for Havertz to run onto and chip in.

“It was a good goal,” the Germany international told Chelsea TV when speaking about his goal at the weekend.

“I saw Enzo… he looked at me. I mean the pass was also perfect.

“We know he has these passes in his locker. So yeah, it was a very, very good pass and he has a lot of qualities on the ball.

“It’s about being consistent again and continuing that run and win games, score goals, and I hope we continue like that on Saturday.”
